HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!!!

This week is ironically 200% better than this week last year… Yeah its still raining… and yes I still have finals, but so much has changed! I am so contet with knowing who I am, where I’m going, and where I’ve come from! I only had 2 finals this week and I got a 95% on one and just finished the second about an hour ago. I love this laid back/ busy lifestyle I’ve created for myself! I am up for change at any minute, but also up to follow my original plans. I have such a Californian “whatever” attitude. So I am now done with fiinals and have one more class this semester! BEACH TOMORROW!!!!!

“This is my life. Am I who I want to be?” I would have to say yes. Over the past 4 years I have changed so tremendously! I look back to the shy insecure girl I was, and I realize that I don’t know her anymore. Throughout high school I have hit many rocky spots. I heard this quote a few years back that said “The brook would lose its song if God removed the rocks”. Without the challenges and difficult situations that have effected my life over the years I would not be who I am today. Without the rocks I would not be the wonderfully content person that God made me to be. Today I am confident in who I am and who I want to become. If you would have asked me if I was who I wanted to be four years ago, I probably would have said yes to avoid any deeper questions. But when I look back at my life I was so disappointed with who I was. I was afraid of not only the future but of the present as well. I have learned to embrace every opportunity that God lays before me to better myself. I am far from perfect and am perfectly fine with that. I know God has a plan and purpose for my life, weather its what I plan now or it is the exact opposite, I’m not afraid.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday was a really good day…kinda.

I went to school for my typical 3 hours and in that time each class was shortened and we had our anual baking of the students aka Homecoming assembly. Which was really neat and involved parachuters coming down and landing on the field to “resue our home coming court”. Thien I went to Mission to visit some dear friends. Then out to Starbucks with Tanner. Then work, where I only had 5 kids and got out early! I then went home and asked my mom if I could pick up Olivia from her house. She said it was fine so I got in my car…then…

I got to the end of my street… I looked left…nothing. I looked right…white care. When you go to make a left turn you have to do it fast or a car coming around the corner might hit you because you cant see all the way around. So as the car past I glanced left again really fast but only saw white so I assumed it was the car that had just past. I pushed on the gas kinda hard so that I could make that fast turn and I went right into the back side of this lady’s ’02 white minivan.

Her car has alot more damage than mine. It was so scary! We had to wait for a really long time for the cops to come. I was really shoken up. The lady’s daughter was in the front seat and no one was hurt. It was just really scary. So now I’m out of commission for at least 3 weeks. So if you have a car hook me up !

In an attempt to make my bad day from yesterday better, my mom took me to T-street to cheer me up…and of course with my luck I ended up getting stung by a bee. So we started to head south on the 5 to meet up with Kristin O’dell in San Marcos. While exiting the 5 onto the 78 the road became very tricky. The reflectors that mark the different lanes were not in lines but rather sporadically thrown around the road. This made me giggle because it was so bizzar. haha! Thanks mom for being behind the wheel!

Thanks College…Not So Much

Ya so I am so stressed about this college stuff… there just seems to be so much to do. My classmates seem to have it all together, and know where they’re going and know that they can get into that school. It seems to me that everyone keeps telling me that there is no way I’m getting into a school! I hate being stressed out so I try to have a “whatever happens happens” attitude, but that just helps me procrastinate and become more stressed. I wish I could just fast foreword through all of the decisions and just go. I have just realized that I have to accept the fact that I have the SATs on Saturday and haven’t studied. And from the little studying I’ve done… lets just say it isn’t looking good. So my plan is to cram and take as many practice tests as I can in the 2 short days I have left! Now I have like a million essays to write for addmissions and scholarships. I also have to fill out the applications.
